Kevin Samar is a visual effects artist and filmmaker specializing in digital compositing for films, TV, and advertising. As a compositor, he’s contributed to more than fifty feature and episodic projects for studios like ILM and Zero VFX. His credits include The Smashing Machine, The Creator, The Mandalorian, 1923, Bad Boys 4, Haunted Mansion, The Walking Dead, and more.  

Kevin’s first short film, Viva Extra, won Best Narrative Short at the Monadnock International Film Festival and Best Comedy Short at the Vermont Film Festival in 2024. His follow-up, Peace, Quiet & A Little Dirt, premiered at the Oscar/BAFTA-qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival in 2025.
